Becoming a champion does not mean we need to represent our country or even our state, being your own champion is being proud of your accomplishments and setting yourself goals to work towards. How can you set yourself on your own path to greatness? See our tips below: 

 

Set yourself a goal – what is it that you want? 
Setting fitness goals are important for several reasons; they keep us accountable, keep us motivated AND allow us to push ourselves that little bit further.   

Set yourself a personal goal - doesn’t matter what everyone else is trying to achieve, no one knows you better than yourself!  

Focus on one goal at a time, remember you cannot do everything at once. You can even add smaller goals as you work towards your final destination, this will boost your confidence and your motivation to keep going! 

Set your fitness goal and write it down! Stick it to your fridge or your mirror, use this as motivation to keep you going, even on the bad days. 

 

Surround yourself with other ‘champions’ 
In our facility, you will find other like minded people who are also working towards a similar goal. Better yet we have staff and instructors who are qualified and available to help you with your specific needs!   

Having others to help support you on your hard days and encourage you to push that little bit further will boost your drive to achieving your goal. Talk to our staff, tell them your goals and we will check in on you throughout your journey! 

 

Your biggest competitor is yourself 
Be sure to respect your own needs, pay attention to your own mental, emotional, and physical needs. Affirmations are a great way to keep your mind positive and not cluttered with negativity. Ensuring you are getting enough sleep, eating the right food, and exercising in a way that suits your fitness level and abilities are all key influences in keeping yourself positive and motivated.  

Sure, we all have those days where getting motivated to come in Centre is a little harder than others, especially in Winter. But remember, you are doing this for yourself and no one else.
